Condo Management Company

Our Calgary property has been managed by two companies:
Longley Condominium Services
Amhurst Property Management (current)

Longley was good in the beginning, but as they grew the quality of the manager assigned to our property decreased significantly. This resulted in our switch to Amhurst a few years ago. Amhurst are competent, but tend to push a lot of work back on the board while still charging high management fees.

Unsatisfied again, we are seeking a new management company. A friend who is a property manager in Toronto recommended we use a CCI member. I believe we also need a company that serves smaller properties like us. We only have 22 units (townhouses).

Here is a link to one blogger's review of management companies in Calgary:

$10-$35/ month/unit

Welcome!

The City of Calgary has a goal to divert 85% of waste generated from landfill by 2036. Why? Because we don't want to live in a garbage can. Calgary's current diversion rate is only 15-20% so we have a long way to go. I'm creating this site to help my neighbours to reduce their environmental footprint. I will let you know where the nearest recycling depots are, what can be recycled, and many other ways to make a difference. Check out the Story of Stuff link if you want to understand why this is so important to me.

Please comment on the blog with your ideas about how we can make a difference.
